Why a Basement Is a Completely Different Problem From a Roof

Most waterproofing companies treat a basement like a roof turned upside down. It is not, and that misunderstanding is why so many basement treatments fail.

A roof deals with water that rests on a surface and then drains away. Gravity is on your side; the water wants to leave. You stop it with a barrier on top, and the job is largely done.
